Our Story
Throughout my career, I’ve been deeply immersed in government-run health systems. I trained as a physician in a veterans hospital, public safety-net institution, and state university academic medical center. My orientation toward public health developed during my time at the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and while leading a research unit within Cook County’s health system.
I’ve been fortunate to work alongside mission-driven professionals who are deeply committed to advancing the health of all people. I took to heart the advice to surround myself with great and humble individuals, who I found in these public systems.
In these podcast interviews, I have the privilege of sharing the stories of those who built and led impactful programs with passion and compassion. Their work inspires me, and I thrust that it will inspire you, too.
